Well folks, after eight years of traditional scrapbooking, I have decided to take the plunge into the world of digital scrapbooking. I have only completed one digital storybook, a Father's Day book for Luke, and I wanted to share it with you. I was really pleased with the final product, and more importantly, so was Luke.
I'm embarrassed to say that I had worked on this off and on since April, and I just published it last weekend, over 2 months late for Father's Day! Oh well, better late than never, right?! Any way, it was fairly easy to do (this was a template that I just had to drop in pictures and add journaling, the part that always takes me the longest to do!)- it was just taking the time to sit down and work on it. I had a lot of "technical support" from my friend Marie in Arizona, and I think with a little more practice, I will definitely get faster at it. I really enjoyed the fact that when I did sit down to work on it, all I needed was my laptop, as opposed to the endless amount of scrap crap that I used for my traditional scrapbooks.
Now I am excited to finally get to work on Zane's first year album. I was beginning to think that I might never scrapbook again. But now I have a plan...

That turned out really neat! I will have to consider going digital myself. I'm so far behind on my scrapbooking, it's not even funny! I love to do it, but who has the time?! At least with digital scrapbooks, you don't have to get out all the stuff! Thanks for sharing this expression of your heart and this handy resource!
Okay--I feel dumb but where do I click to view the scrapbook? I see nothing on my computer.
The dummy figured it out--thanks for the phone call. I LOVE it. How special for Luke and what a time saver for you.
That scrapbook is very...very...very sweet! You did a great job and it's truly a special & personal way to celebrate Luke becoming a 'dad'. Kudos to you Miss Rachel! I may have to do one of those...once I get rid of my "scrap crap". :)
I love it Rachel! It looks great! It did take me a while to figure it out, but could tell by the comments there was somewhere I should be seeing something:)
Very Neat! I love it! Way to go.
Isn't digital scrapbooking so nice? Or maybe it's just more realistic at this stage in life! Loved the book!
I've made one with Shutterfly and one with Creative Memories. Been very pleased with the outcome.
Keep up the hard work. I just might get my 3 year olds baby book done before his brother arrives!
that is the cutest thing ever - never heard of heritage makers before...will have to look into that, as, at the rate we're running, I will NEVER scrapbook again :-) Got some pages of my dog done and our 4th anniversary trip to Hawaii and that's about it - pathetic.
