Why do we even buy our children toys? Last week, after I had gotten out a few safe kitchen items for Zane to play with, including but not limited to this baster, I caught him crawling around with this part in his mouth! I guess it makes a good teether- who knows?! Anyway, I thought this was too cute not to share!
Ok, now it's your turn. What random things have you found your kids playing with or teething on?

Oh, pretty much every morning I find Cade playing with my kitchen tools. He brings them all out and sets them up in the living room--not to pretend he's cooking--just to play with them. His favorites are the melon baller and the whisk!
When Ruth was a baby I found her one day with the bulb syringe (for sucking out baby boogers) in her mouth. After getting over my shock and disgust, and after a good washing, I gave it back to her and it was her favorite teether for the duration of the teething prrocess!
Max currently puts EVERYTHING in his mouth--indiscriminately--but he seems especially interested in power cords for some crazy reason! Fortunately, here in Brazil, we don't have nearly as many things plugged in as we would in our regular house!
This sounds so gross but both my boys LOVE chewing on the soles of shoes. Thankfully Davis is over that --but little Asa is still caught with shoes in his mouth. I just always tell myself it is building up immunities to be exposed to all the yuck on the bottom of shoes. I do try to be a good mom and hand over something more appropriate.
Jonah loves the icecream scoop. There was a week last spring that he carried it around with him everywhere- he even slept with it. I put my foot down and would not let him pack it on our trip back to Louisiana. I wasn't sure if we'd get through security with it! I guess it broke the habit, though. Now he just wants it out to scoop himself up a bowl of icecream... for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. He's a dreamer!
caught olivia chewing on abby's hairbrush when I wasn't looking... ick! both of my girls enjoy chewing on straws when we go to restaurants...they play with those for hours!
One of the best memories I have with Abigail is when I first heard the song, "In my Daughters's Eyes" by Martina McBride. I was in the living room, tears splilling over my cheeks when I peek around the corner and find Abigail crawling towards me with Buddy's bone in her mouth!!!
